Canaletto Museum

Project details

The underlying ethos of the Canaletto Museum is dedicated to the foundational essence that defines Venice. It scrutinizes the idiosyncrasies inherent in its organizational structure, orchestrating distinctive opportunities through the deliberate emphasis on its irregularities and crevices.

This museum aspires to emulate the experiential intricacies of navigating the city, where the meandering paths foster moments of intrigue understandable only from certain points. Consequently, it cultivates a dynamic and immersive ambiance, ensuring that each turn offers a unique and captivating encounter.

The apertures within the architectural framework not only result from the deliberate subtraction of the building's ribbon but also serve the purpose of orchestrating specific sightlines, reminiscent of the indeliberate perspectives encountered while strolling through the labyrinthine streets of Venice.
